I swear! She goes two thirds of her portion of the Closing Time story arc about the three girls, and suddenly she's all over him in the final "vignette" for lack of a better word.
Spoilers in extended entry.
I did something with this story that I don't think I have ever done in one story: skip around.
I wrote Trixie's three scenes straight through, and then moved into Honey's, like I planned. I got her first scene written (moving into her own place), and then I was completely uninspired to write the second scene (starting classes), so I moved to Di's first scene. And promptly got stuck in the middle, so I went back and wrote Honey's second scene, and it went much better. Then, I got stuck writing Honey's third scene (college social life), so I went back to Di's first scene and finished it. And then I went back to Honey's third scene and thought I finished it. So, then I started writing Di's third scene, and in scrolling back, I realized that I must have gotten interrupted, because Honey's scene ended in the middle of a sentence! It was supposed to have been the last sentence, but it turned into a paragraph when I tried to finish it (that was yesterday), so I finished off Di's second scene last night.
Anyway, at the beginning, I had been planning on telling Trixie's story straight through, then Honey's, and then Di's. But somewhere in the middle of all of this scene skipping, I decided that I would break up the stories and tell Trixie's first scene and then Honey's first scene and then Di's first scene, then Trixie's second scene etc.
So, today I did the copying and pasting and rearranging and I accomplished that. All that was left was to write Di's third scene. I am sick of writing for the day, so I quit at a good stopping point, but the scene is not finished. I'd say it's two thirds of the way through, so I am planning on finishing it up tomorrow. And then "Closing Time" will be finished.
I'm not sure if at that point I am going to go straight into the next story or write the Onyx Twilight story that I am writing for Mary N. I guess we'll see!
